Wenloch Farm was started by Dr. Gerald A O'Connor MD, a past president of the American Quarter Horse Association, past president of the Michigan Quarter Horse Association, and a founding member of the Michigan Horse Council. Dr. O'Connor died in May of 2004, and the farm is owned by his wife Margaret O' Connor.
Wenloch Farm is co-managed by Jerry O'Connor Jr and Annie O'Connor-Warner.
Wenloch Farm has been in the Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred business since 1961. During the years we have produced multiple winners at halter, performance and racing. Amoung our winners have been AQHA CHAMPIONS and ROM earners.
Our primary interest in the last 10 years has been breeding quarter horses with cutting and reining bloodlines. Our broodmare band includes mares raised on the King Ranch, and we also stand Peppy's Paloma (AQHA,NCHA) an own son of Peppy San Badger out of a King Ranch mare.
Catherine O'Connor and her brother Jerry O'Connor Jr. with their niece MacKenzie O'Connor (Kevin and Rhonda O'Connor's daughter) accepting the award presented by Mr. Robert Holiday for CUSTUS JAGUAR on the occasion of his induction into the Michigan Quarter Horse Hall of Fame.
"Jag" was one of our first AQHA Champions. He went on to stand at WENLOCH FARM for many years, sire of such fine horse as JAG'S PAULETTE, JAG'S NIFTY DOLL, JAG'S NIFTY LADY, JAGS JANE, MISS SWEET SUCCESS, AND FANCY BLUE CHIP TO NAME JUST A FEW.
We are very proud of CUSTUS JAGUAR and would like to thank the MQHA for inducting him into the MICHIGAN QUARTER HORSE HALL OF FAME.
